The entire Trail Guide series is my new favorite geography program. It is an easy to use & affordable program complete in this teacher/student guide. Some reproducibles are included to complete each project or there is a notebook available for purchase. The beauty of this program is that you can dive as deep as you want into geography...or just snorkel your way around the globe for a sampling. Drills for different levels of students are given making it easy to use with a family. A variety of projects from which to choose are given. At the end of each book, there is a literature unit on a specific book related to the geography learned---a nice finale.

Great resource for those doing homeschool geography unit studies or for a classroom teacher to supplement with.

Neat book. We're learning a lot. This is the best, most affordable U.S. geography curriculum I have found. Recommended books to go along with this are: Scholastic State-by-State Atlas and The Captain's Dog. I will venture to say that for the creative homeschooler, this book can almost also double as a history curriculum as well. There is another good book that goes well with this study called "Eat Your Way Across the U.S.A." but unfortunately it's not sold here at CBD.
