So far so good, only through 10th lesson. May seem repetitive, but as I go further into the lessons, I see how the fundamentals are presented and built upon. So glad I took a friend's adivce and switched to Saxon.

We have used Saxon math two years in a row, and love it. Compared to other curriculum, we found this to be superior. The text is clear, there are no distracting graphics, it is logical and easy to follow.

My oldest child is looking forward to starting Saxon Algebra. We have used Saxon with two children since 4th grade. Instead of switching to a different program again, they have stuck with Saxon and the results have been amazing. My oldest child, who struggles with math, impresses me often with his math retention and knowledge. Most important thing we've learned from using Saxon: Don't skip lessons! This will frustrate your child when doing future lessons b/c he will not have mastered the basics.

Saxon is working out well so far for my daughter. The constant review is just what she needs. We have been using it for about 2 months, though she has used it in the past at a charter school.

I am disappointed with Saxon Algebra 1. Too many of the problems do not have relevant examples to assist the student in solving problems. Examples that are given don't relate to many of the problems a student must solve. As a parent with univerisity degrees and math in my background and spouse with even more science and math in his education, we have found this book to be lacking. A good text book is written in a manner that helps a student learn. Our child has done excellent in math in her education, and has found this book to be lacking as well. As a result, we have had to spend yet more money for a better math book from another source and we won't be purchasing anymore Saxon products.

Saxon has proven for years to be superior in teaching Math. It is nice to be able to buy it from CBD at a better price than Saxon offers.

I am a big fan of the Saxon math curriculum. Have used it for my three children which covers 1st to 8th grade...best approach for all learning styles.
