A complete and comprehensive grammar program! Lessons on topics such as sentence fragments or parts of speech begin with several pithy examples, and follow them with directed questions that help students arrive at a grammatical principle or rule. Following the questions and a brief discussion, each lesson has a Definition, set in a box for emphasis. Lessons also contain boxed Hints that aid students in understanding and retaining points of grammar. Each book also contains a Comprehensive Exercises section that provides review exercises and includes errors for students to correct. Book 2 is appropriate for grades 7-8 and teaches direct and indirect objects, linking verbs, predicate nouns and adjectives, appositives, objects of the preposition, functions of the prepositional phrase, and semicolons and colons.

We have been using this series for 2 years. Anything and everything your child needs to know about grammar will be taught if you use all the books. I highly recommend it. The only drawback is that my daughter thinks the exercises are too long.
