Miquon Math Purple Book is the sixth book in the Miquon Math series. The series is designed to be used with Cuisenaire Rods and uses a hands on approach. The purple book is designed for younger children but can be used by older children as well. Each page is an activity. There is no answer key included. LAB Sheet Annotations is needed- stock# 68464.

I thought that this math would be in a simple format, easy to use. Boy was I wrong. On each page is a bunch of problems with no instructions and no examples.I am completely disappointed and will never buy any thing from Key Curriculum again.

Miquon has been the best math program I have tried. It was/is successful with all 4 of my very different learners, from one who struggles with math to one who is highly gifted in math, and two who are average to good in math. I just recently ordered the purple book for my 3rd child, and discovered the root of many problems my oldest child has had. I moved him on to another program after completing the yellow book, thinking that the material in the purple book wasn't that important (his younger brother had already finished the purple book by that time). When I looked over the copy for my daughter, I discovered that all the concepts my oldest later struggled with were covered in the Purple book he skipped! I won't make that mistake again.

The book could use some colorful pictures, but it teaches math well.
