The Miquon Math Red book is the second in the Miquon Math series. The series is designed to be used with cuisenaire rods and uses a hands on approach. The red book is designed to be a curriculum for younger children but can also be used as a supplement for older children. Each worksheet is an activity. Lab Sheet Annotations stock #68464 is needed. This is my favorite math program. This product uses hands on math to teach. You should use the math manipulatives and remember that the workbook is more of a record sheel. I use unifix cubes rather than the cuisinaire rods. In order to use the product correctly, you need the Lab Annotations (Lesson Plans for all 6 books)-$15 or $20 and worth every penny. Your child will understand the math that they are doing. Your child will have understanding of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division if you use this program. Your child will very likely be a whole grade level ahead in math if not more.

My daughter just finished this book. She never liked math until I found Miquon. In six months, she's gone from counting to factoring. I recommend this series to everyone.
