3 of 3 Reviews Showing: Reviewed by Michelle Bell (Lakeland, FL), February 16, 2010I love this book and look forward to continuing using the series next year. I only wish I hadn't bought it so late in the year. In addition, my son really enjoys his Latin lessons. Reviewed by Jennifer (Phoenix, AZ), September 13, 2009This is a traditional, back-to-basics, black and white approach to learning Latin but our 9 year old son loves using it as part of a small group class. We like that a famous Latin saying or quote is presented in each lesson. Our son was excited to see Julius Caesar's "Veni, Vidi, Vici" as well as his "Et tu, Brute" in addition to several other common quotes. The first page of each lesson is comprised of the Latin Saying, a Vocabulary List of about 10 words, Grammer Forms, while the second page of each lesson is made up of Translation, Grammar, and Derivative exercises to be completed. Although some graphics or visuals might be valuable, I can also understand why they have not been incorporated~keeping it simple, uncluttered, and focused. Depending upon what you hope to achieve in Latin, this might be a valuable addition to your other resources. Reviewed by David German (Glasgow, KY), November 04, 2002As a homeschooling father trying to help out my wife, this has been a very easy to grasp introduction to Latin. It's been fun to learn Latin myself. Of course, there is no substitute for repetition to learn the conjugations and declensions. Some Roman artwork on the edges of the page would be nice.
