I was actually trying to find an easy to follow, easy to teach chemistry book for highschool. I wanted something that would go through basic chemistry. No hard to follow and understand words, no hard experiments. Just simple basic chemistry. This book is wonderful and I especially enjoy the Bible verses throughout the book. I am excited about using it.

My 4th and 5th graders (one of each) have really enjoyed this study. It is very simple to teach and the activities are highly doable (very little prep needed). I highly recommend.

These "Christian Kids Explore..." books are excellent. The best advice I can give you is to buy all of the books in the series (there are 4: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Earth & Space) at once, and alternate them (do 1 unit in one book, then a unit in another, etc.) This will prevent you from getting burned out on studying the same subject for the whole year, and also for about a hundred bucks, you will have about four years of science covered. I love these books because they present a formal study of science, with the vocabulary words and quizzes and all that, but it also has fun experiments the kids enjoy, and it's all from a Christian perspective. Highly recommended!!

Our daughter can really understand the information that is taught in this book. Also loves the experiments with each chapter. We just finished taking Unit One: Wrap-Up and she missed only two questions. Wonderful product!
