Christian values, uplifting quotes, and reminders to pray before each test are noteworthy elements of these spelling workbooks for grades 1 to 6. Phonics are emphasized throughout. A teacher's help is necessary, especially in the beginning books. Test pages are supplied at the back of each book.

We've used CLP Spelling for 4 years and love it. The price is great, and my two children retain the information, which has enabled them to become good "spellers". A glossary in the back of the book would be a nice bonus for ease of locating definitions.

This is a great supplemental spelling book to get your children spelling, reading and to get them interested in their Bibles. But, if you're a homeschooler with required state tests, you need to check your state required testing words and use this as a supplement and not as the only spelling words they get for the year. Easy to follow, fun activities. Love it!

This spelling curriculum is awesome. We have been using this series for 4 years and it's been a great asset. The books concentrate on the rules of spelling, grouping words accordingly and offering enough practice with those rules in a way that cements the lesson.
